Lula Lake Land Trust has three backcountry sites located at Durham Mine Trails, Moonshine Trails, and the CCT off Nickajack Road. These sites offer a remote setting for backpackers and cyclists to enjoy a night under the stars. Each site requires a minimum 2-mile hike. Sites have no running water, no restrooms, no trash receptacles and most importantly no power. There is a fire ring provided at each site along with water that can be filtered from the creek. Users must pack out ALL trash and any materials brought in with you. Leave it cleaner than you found it!

Durham CampsiteThis remote campsite is located off the E. Fuggett Branch trail and is a minimum of a 1.6-mile hike from the Durham Mine Trailhead. There is currently one campsite and has a capacity for four tents.

Moonshine CampsiteLocated off the White Lightning Trail, this campsite can accommodate four tents. The campsite has a minimum 2.5-mile hike. The only overnight parking for this section is located at the Lula Lake Land Trust office at 29 Mount Olive Rd. There is no overnight parking allowed at the Covenant College trailhead at this time.

Nickajack CampsiteThe site is located 2.2 miles from the Nickajack Trailhead located off Nickajack Rd. There is no vehicle access to the Nickajack parking area after sunset. The gate will open automatically from the inside but if you need to leave after the gate has closed you will not be able to get back into the parking area. This is a smaller site which can hold two tents.
