Tails & Trails 5K Fun Run

Get ready for a fun 5K adventure at Lula Lake Land Trust atop beautiful Lookout Mountain on April 22nd! Our Tails & Trails 5K is designed for racers and their leashed dog that takes you on a classic course through the heart of Lula Lake's scenic Core Preserve - with water / cool off stations for your four-legged friend! You don't have to have a dog to race (but it makes it more fun!).

Hiking trails will NOT be open to the public or spectators, but spectators are welcome to enjoy the festivities in our meadow where we will have food and beverages available for purchase and live music.

$45 registration fee which includes food & drink, swag bag, and the good feeling of supporting the important conservation work and trail-building at Lula Lake!

This race is presented by Nooga Paws + Play Wash Pint + Play Wash Stay, and they will be awarding the top runners (who race the course with a dog) a dog food prize package. Note: These below top prizes will only be awarded to runners who race with a dog.

Behind the Waterfall

Lula Lake Land Trust was established by the will of Mr. Robert Davenport, Sr. at his death in 1994. Since then, his children Bobby, Elliott, Eleanor and Adelaide along  with the Board of Trustees, local foundations and staff have helped to conserve over 8,000 acres on Lookout Mountain, doubled the size of Cloudland Canyon State Park, built nearly 60 miles of recreational trails spanning private, conservation, and state owned lands. Our fee owned properties are research sites for  UTC, UGA, and the State of Georgia Forestry Division as we seek to reintroduce the American Chestnut Tree while attempting to fight the Hemlock Wooly Adelgid with both chemical and biologic agents. We are in continuous pursuit of additional properties to protect and conserve within the Rock Creek and Bear Creek watersheds on Lookout Mountain. We seek to become outstanding stewards of conservation lands surrounding Chattanooga, Tennessee along with our 6 other land trust partners in the region.
